This will most likely occur in either May or August since June and July are too dang hot and humid to camp comfortably. The route is the same one as last year's fall event. It's going to be a 2-day trip for those wanting to go the full distance. If you want to meet us part-way, then give us a heads-up before we enter your neck of the woods.

Not 100% yet, but there is a solid chance that I'll be moving to the Lexington/Gilbert area in late May, early June. So if it's in August, I might be able to make it.

I live in Charlotte and once I get a Miata, MR2 Turbo, or Boxster (probably this) I'll most certainly take it on a drive through the mountains.

I used to take the motorcycle up through Travelers Rest up to Ceasars Head State Park when I lived in Greer. It really is a lot of fun. And the people that live in that area are pretty good about working to stay out of the way of motorcyclists who actually want to go the speed limit up that road (can't remember the highway number to save my life). Only once did I attempt to make it up to Deals Gap. Only time I got pulled over on the bike, and consequently I never made it.
Man I miss the Upstate.
